Remarks

• The right (lower) valve of Pecten albicans is less convex compared to Pecten excavatus and Pecten waikikius.

  	Pecten albicans (Schröter, 1802) broad ribs on right (lower) valve, with concentric small lines
  	Pecten excavatus Anton, 1838 ribs are less broad and with secondary radial ribs
  	Pecten waikikius Dall, Bartsch & Rehder, 1938 ribs are less defined and the secondary ribs are more prominent

  
  
  
• more related to Pecten fumatus Reeve, 1852 from Australia and Pecten novaezelandiae Reeve, 1852 from New Zealand but the broad, square ribs on the right valve are typical for the species.
